Archon, the New York-based psychedelic doom band featuring members of Agnosis and 12 Eyes, is preparing to release it's debut EP in July/August 2008. The EP features 2 tracks and is over 30 minutes of true cosmic doom. Vicky leaves, vocalist required!

After a period of uncertainty within the band, Vicky has left due to creative differences. This is nothing personal, it's just that between us we had different ideas as to how the band should progress: we wish her nothing but the best for the future! Our label, Miskatonic Foundation, has been 100% supportive with the decision & is waiting for us to find a replacement before releasing our recently recorded second album 'In Situ'. This is so that we can promote the recording accordingly. We can't thank Miskatonic... enough for their help & support in this issue. As such we are now looking for a new vocalist. The ideal candidate should have enthusiasm for the band as well as having a creative input & being free most weekends for rehearsals in the Croydon area. There are always gigs & recordings in the pipeline so obviously a degree of professionalism is imperative too. If you're interested or know someone that is then please get in contact!

Tuesday June 24th is the release date for the much anticipated new CD from the New York City Gods of Sludge, Negative Reaction. "Tales From The Insomniac" is a dark journey into the sludge scarred world of Sir Ken E. Bones and Company. Simply put, this is Pure Raw Emotion. Fans of CoC, Monster Magnet, eyehategod and Acid Bath will be drawn to this soon to be classic.
A video for lead off single "Wish To A Dream" is set to be shot in July and a fall tour with Maegashira is to follow.

Iron Horse magazine is having an issue release party, so on June 14th you're going to want to be in DC, riding a motorcycle and ready to party like its 2008! Of course minivans are also welcome.

THE VENUE:
The Rock and Roll Hotel on H Street NE is well suited for such an event.
Downstairs is the concert hall and upstairs are various suites and bars with different themes in which to get to get your rock and/or roll on.

FALCON, the raw heavy rock power trio featuring
guitarist/vocalist Perry Grayson (ex-DESTINY'S END, ARTISAN,ISEN TORR and Metal Maniacs scribe), bassist/keyboardist Greg Lindstrom (CIRITH UNGOL) and drummer Darin McCloskey (PALE DIVINE), released their second full-length CD, "Die Wontcha," on Liquid Flames Records on May 6th. "Die Wontcha" is available for sale on FALCON's official website at www.falconband.net.

The cover of "Die Wontcha" is a full-color painting by renowned fantasy artist Virgil Finlay. Clips of "Die Wontcha" tunes can be heard on the Falcon website and MySpace profile.

"Die Wontcha" was recorded at the Polar Bear Lair in Middletown,
Maryland by Chris Kozlowski (PENTAGRAM, BLUE CHEER, INTERNAL
VOID, PENANCE, THE OBSESSED, SPIRIT CARAVAN, CLUTCH, EARTHRIDE,
etc.) during October 21-26, 2006. Basic tracks (rhythm guitar,
bass and drums) were recorded live, the same way FALCON tackled
their 2004 debut album, adding to the spontaneous and vintage
vibe inherent in the band's sound. The album was co-produced by
FALCON and Chris Kozlowski.

Amidst many rumors it has been announced earlier today that
KORY CLARKE, of WARRIOR SOUL will be the new front man
effective immediately.

The news comes as the band returns to their Chicago homes
following a successful European Tour.
